John Yetter and Barbara Bassler

John Yetter, my wife's 5th Great Grandfather, and Father of William G. Yetter was born on June 27, 1772 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  John was said to be of German descent.  His parents are thought to have been Martin Yetter and Maria Magdelina.  I have found very little to support any of this except unreferenced reports.

He married Barbara Bassler likely in 1795 but may have been as early as 1789.  Barbara was born in 1774 also in Lancaster.

They had 4 children, William, Lewis, Catherine, and Mary.

John died in 1814 and Barbara died in 1833, both in Lancaster.

Although these facts are likely true, because none of this information is objectively corroborated, I will not continue with this line unless more information comes to light.
